Today we are back with the very lovely Monica at MHG Beauty. She tells us why she loves the wedding industry, what beauty must-haves she’ll be packing this summer and where she will be heading to escape the heat!
Do you have any big plans for wedding season starting in October?
Can’t wait for you guys to see all the collaborations and read all my beauty blogs, all of us in the wedding industry love doing these projects to inspire brides on what to choose for their special day. So stayed tuned because there are a lot of exciting things coming your way…….
What’s been the highlight of the last 6 months?
This past 6 months I had so many beautiful brides, I think each day was a highlight in its own moment. Love to see their face when they look in the mirror and when I put their veil on…pure magic.
I was very fortunate to be part of wonderful photo shoot collaborations and having my webpage finally come to life!!!
What will you be doing this summer?
I always try to take makeup and hair courses during summer, as well as creating projects and travelling, my husband and I love travelling. This summer we are going to Iceland…….exciting! Can’t wait to see all those beautiful sceneries and get lots and lots of inspiration.
What will you be packing for your summer holidays?
This is the hardest question hahahah, if you ask my hubby he will probably say I take everything with me….mmmmmm if you’ve seen my crazy personal makeup kit we all know that’s impossible, but men, they will never understand us carrying with our own shampoo when hotels provide them.
So here is a list of my travel kit non-negotiables:
- Daily face moisturizer and eye cream (lush million dollar SPF & origins Ginzing)
- Bare Minerals tinted hydrating gel
- Tarte concealer
- Tarte cheek stain
- Bare minerals prime eyeshadow
- Lash curler (MAC Cosmetics)
- Shampoo, dry shampoo and Conditioner (LOVE by Davines, there is one for every hair type)
- Face wash (Pacifica or Neal’s Yard)
- Organic toothpaste
- Grapeseed or argan oil as night serum and eye moisturizer
Any advise for brides getting married next season?
Summer is here and even thought the wedding season seems far away, it is actually right around the corner. I am very fortunate to already have bookings all the way to march 2017. I suggest that if you’ re getting married next season and you are in Dubai for a few days in summer, try to book for a makeup and hair trial, do the things that can be done with time so that you begin checking those off your list.
Stay connected to this space for constant inspiration and remember anything is possible you just need the right team on your side.
Have an amazing summer! Don’t forget to stay hydrated!
