My friend Taran is a fabulous photographer based in London. I’ve featured some of his work before on MLW so you might recognize his name. This time though I’m featuring a bride and groom who got married yesterday. Big congrats to the lovely couple Sonia & Rajit! April seems to be rather popular for weddings 😉
London in spring is awesome , it’s still cool enough to wear a jacket, yet the sun comes out and the tree’s start to bloom. It gives hope that summer is on it’s way. It also makes a perfect backdrop for a fun pre-wedding photo shoot…
Ranjit & Sonia are a lovely easy going, fun loving, spontaneous , and happy couple who met at work nearly 8 years ago. The Yorkshire based couple are due to wed over Easter and you can imagine are nervous but very excited about the big day and their future together.
A few weeks back, they got on the first train from Leeds to London for their pre-wedding shoot to try and miss the tourist trade as they were eager to have an iconic city backdrop different to the usual pre wedding snaps they had seen in the capital city.
They didn’t want to dress overly smart but were keen to represent their relaxed casual nature through their choice of clothes, cool, stylish and a bit of bling!
‘We chose Taran to shoot our pre-wedding photos as we knew his natural reportage style would capture our love and we knew Taran was perfect for the shoot through his website. He has a real talent and we felt so happy we chose him, he made shoot flow perfectly and we are so pleased with the most amazing pictures and moments he captured. To top it all off he did it all with a smile and a laugh.’ Says the Sonia.
With regret we wish we could have had Taran to shoot our wedding day too but as he is also related to the groom we want him to enjoy the wedding and not work on our big day which will be taking place on 20th April at Harrogate Pavilions, West Yorkshire.
Advice for brides: ‘ Just enjoy every moment as time is passing so quickly, and capture moments to look back and remember the good times’ .
The couple are also excited about their plans to jet off to the States for their honeymoon, namely NYC and Miami.
Lets hope Taran sends some of his wedding photos across, even if they are captured as ‘guest’. 🙂 If you haven’t seen Taran’s website check it out here ‘http://www.taranwilkhu.com/‘
I’ll be back with a update on my busy weekend, and some ideas for a rustic themed wedding tomorrow! Hope you all had a great Easter.
Lots of wedding hugs…
