Back in January I styled my last wedding, while waddling around putting out flowers, and doing my general wedding thing. I was 7 months pregnant. I also had the help of Katie, my gorgeous model like intern who stayed with me for 3 weeks after Christmas. She was awesome, and I don’t think I would of survived without her. The ceremony is my favourite bit, possibly because the venue (Four Seasons Dubai) is absolutely gorgeous. The outdoor space was used for the wedding ceremony and cocktail reception, and the ballroom was set up for dinner and dancing. I love the steps which sit in front of a sea backdrop surrounded by palm dress, it’s almost perfect.
The signage was simple, yet pretty. E Walls helped me create all the signs using stickers, and my handy carpenter cut the wood boards for me. The seating plan was a map of Bath City, which is where the bride and groom met.
The flowers were provided by Firenze Flora, and we used all of my own glassware and styling props to create the centrepieces. I had wood stands made for glass bell jars, which looked beautiful decorated with florals. The show plates, glasses and cutlery are rented from Party Social, and I love the gold cutlery. It’s so luxurious for a wedding.
In the evening I came back to the venue and we restyled the outdoor area into a shisha lounge. We moved the rustic doors closer to the front of the lawn, pulled in the furniture and added candles. It was very pretty. I remember two little girls coming out and shouting ‘wow is this for princesses’. Obviously I replied with YES!
