I met Ola about a year before her wedding. She started planning from her home across the globe in Washington DC. Her husband Tolu lives in Dubai which made the planning somewhat easier, but planning a wedding by email, Skype, whats app and text can never be easy. Luckily for her she discovered some awesome vendors in Dubai, and after a few months everything sort of came together. Vintage Bloom and I teamed up to take care of the decor, the flowers and all the little details in-between.
Ola flew her friends, and wedding planners over for the wedding, who helped with logistics on the day. The wedding ceremony was held at the lawn at Al Badia Golf Club, followed by an a dinner reception at Madinat Jumeirah later the same day.
Ola’s has great sense of style and is very detail focused, and from day one she knew exactly what she wanted. By day she’s an interior designer, so her creative flare and obsession with the ‘pretty’ was greater than most brides. The stunning flower wall made the wedding, and teamed with a design of white petals on the ground it looked amazing. Brown Tiffany chairs were used to offset the rich pink tones, which also made a nice change from the usual white Tiffany chairs that are so popular with brides today.
The bride wore a wedding dress by Ezoani from the USA, and her dashing groom looked smart in custom designed suit by Made-to-Measure in Dubai. Ola’s bridesmaids all wore Badgley Mischka shoes and her flower girls walked down the aisle with over-sized peach ballrooms.
