Standing tall in all it’s refined elegance, ever so seductive with a charm that’s pure entrapment! Commanding center stage with a promise of no less that the most intoxicating explosion of flavours 🙂 Buttercream or fondant, tiered and traditional or go the more unorthodox route and opt for mini wedding cakes packed to perfection with glossy butter paper and transparent ribboned boxes…..making it a momento to take home or give into irresistible temptation and indulge.
The wedding cake really should be the piece de resistance at any wedding 🙂 that ties in all the elements of a spectacular wedding. And it requires no less imagination or painstaking deliberation, than the dress, flowers or wedding bands. It’s got to be extraordinary and easy to fall in love with at first glance, and create a following with every delectable mouthful! And let’s not forget, it’s got to be worthy enough to secure a place of pride in the bridal album and be admired endlessly. A tall order to fulfill 🙂 unless you have someone like Farah Gokal- Ghazzawi of Sweet Stuff who is inspired by all things sweet and loves to add a generous dose of creativity to create the most awe inspiring edible art.
Located in Jumerah, Sweet Stuff was launched by Farah Gokal-Ghazzawi in 2009 to create cakes, cupcakes and uniquely conceptualized wedding cakes that are a blend of unusual flavours, exceptional detail drawn from experimental designing and techniques that are original to her. The result is having a stunning wedding cake that you can truly call your own, since no two cakes are exactly the same and Farah likes to take the road less travelled and come up with looks never seen before.
To be able to enjoy of of her show stopping cakes, she recommend to order at least two months ahead. However she has baked, iced and toiled through the night to create a masterpiece, that is perfection itself to the very last crumb 🙂 at shorter notice. I guess it’s hard not to be a bit of a romantic and push the limits to make a couples most special day, just that little bit more sweeter! Especially when surrounded by Belgian chocolate, almond orange ameratto and salted caramel which incidently happens to be Farah’s favourite flavour all day long 🙂
Big thanks to Leena @ The Creative Workshop for another lovely blog. I’m now starving and craving cake. Thanks Leena!
I’ll be back tomorrow with a lovely engagement shoot from Goldfish Photography.
Happy planning my darling xx
