My bridal treatment review at Talise Spa

A few weeks back when I was in-between weddings, and preparing for wedding 2 of 6. (6 weddings over a 9 week period is keeping me rather busy, but I really can’t complain because I love what I do so much)! So anyway, I was invited to spend an afternoon at Talise Spa at Madinat Jumeirah to try one of their most popular bridal treatments. This was the 24 Carat Gold Hamman treatment; 120 minutes of pure relaxation. Starting with 15 minutes of peace and quiet, I was then met by my therapist who talked me through the treatment. I’ve never had a traditional Hamman so I was very curious about what to expect.

The treatment started off with a shower, followed by a 10 minute steam before the body scrub was applied. I’m usually not a fan of steam rooms in general but this experience was very different. The smell, the room, the whole experience was something I’ve never experienced before. It was just what I needed. After the body scrub, I showered again and was then covered in a lovely scented mud scrub and wrapped up nice and tight for the products to do their magic. The last part of the treatment was a full body massage followed by a mini facial… oh and another shower. I’ve never felt so clean 🙂

The result…? AMAZING. I couldn’t believe how smooth my skin was. I don’t think it’s ever been that soft, and I smelt so good. Sounds bit strange but for anyone who’s an experience spa goer you’ll know exactly what I mean.
For a bride-to-be this would definitely be a treatment I would recommend having 5-7 days before the big day. As many of you all realise planning a wedding is not easy, and it often becomes rather stressful towards the end. You’re running around with last minute errands and entertaining family and friends from out of town. It’s important to take a break and have some YOU time. If you want to look your best on your wedding day, then you need to put you first. Believe me, I didn’t do that and I often regret it. BUT thanks to my blog I sometimes get to experience what I should have before my wedding day.
