Natalie at Mustard Seed Creative has been my branding/ graphic design mentor since the day I met her. Without her support and design ideas I might not be where I am today.
I met Natalie last year, when My Lovely Wedding was still young, still in the early days of finding it’s niche, it’s audience. But she instantly understood me, she knew where I was going and guided me to where I am today. Without Natalie none of this would of been possible. I never knew brand identity was so important, until I launched My Lovely Wedding and realised that without an identity, people wouldn’t get who I am, what I was trying to do.
I reached out to her a few months ago with the idea of updating my blog, and taking it to the next level, a little cleaner, and a little more user friendly. And it started with a mood board..
Natalie knew my style, and knew my likes and dislikes. I’m a little bit obsessed with pink hearts and retro birds. When I fist launched MLW I used the type writer font to create a header in PowerPoint (Lol I wish I was lying but I’m not) so that’s always been my style, a little rustic, and a little bit old school. I’m also a little bit obsessed with grey. My living room is grey, and so is my office and my car. I’m not sure why I like it so much.. I just do.
Natalie also designed paper goodies with using my branding identity. Lots of cute bnunting, white and grey polka dots, and of course my typer writer style stamp font. It’s the little things like this that really make a big difference. I can’t wait to get my hands on my custom made stamp!
So here it is, my new and improved blog. You can see from the ‘before and ‘after’ that it’s been redesigned and looks much more professional than before. 🙂 If you’re looking for someone to help you with your new business than she’s your gal… check out http://mustardseedcreative.com/ for more info.
Thanks again to Natalie for doing such a wonderful job. You are, and always will be part of My Lovely Wedding. xx
