5 questions with Maria Sundin.

So a few days back I posted ‘5 questions with Sanjay @ Firenze Flora‘ and today I’m back with one of my favorite UAE wedding photographers; Maria Sundin with her answers to the same 5 questions.

Do you have any big plans for wedding season starting in October?
I’m so excited for another wedding season to come, we’ve had a really great season leading up to the summer and we have some great weddings to come at our favourite Dubai venues so that’s all very exciting. We do have some thrilling plans for Maria Sundin Photography but I can’t reveal them just yet, it’ll all come out in good time:)
What’s been the highlight of the last 6 months?
For us, we’re seeing more couples move towards organic, natural & minimalistic style choices which is what we love. We’re seeing more couples bringing natural elements in throughout the wedding day or picking venues that really reflect and enhance nature’s beauty. I am still waiting for more couple’s to pick a desert venue;) but I do have a newfound love for Magnolia at Al Qasr, it’s just so pretty! We’re also seeing more bridal couples spending more effort on their details and getting professional help with styling which is always a huge plus in our book. It really makes the storytelling of the wedding much more cohesive and stronger. Details make all the difference.
What will you be doing this summer?
I’ve just had a long 2,5 week vacation in Japan with my family and we fulfilled a long dream of going to visit Ogimi village where they live the longest in the world! I’ve also got some plans of a Europe trip in August.
What will you be packing for your summer holidays?
Panama hat, shades, my vintage film camera & my new soup canister (don’t ask… but I have a newfound love for Miso)
Any advise for brides getting married next season?
Pick with your heart. If you’re surrounded by people that understand your vision of your day, your day will run smoothly. And… if you don’t have a stylist or planner involved, get an “on the day planner”, it makes all the difference and you can relax in your bridal suite 🙂
