It’s that time again when I get a bit excited about a wedding venue and hope that I help some lucky couple find the venue of their dreams by writing this blog post. Palace Downtown has always been on my radar but I’ve not been lucky enough to style a wedding there…yet! It’s a pretty awesome hotel with epic views of Dubai Fountains and Burj Khalifa. The viewing deck is amazing, followed by the pool and green gardens just next door. It has something for everyone, including a ballroom too. The viewing deck can seat 180 guests for dinner, with 9 tables on each side or a cocktail reception for upto 300 guests standing. I personally would keep it small, 8-9 tables on one side, a wedding ceremony in the gazebo and a catering or cocktails on the other. If I were getting married there I would want to maximise my time at this stunning venue.
The Pool side is gorgeous, and you have a view of Dubai Fountains on one side and the beautiful hotel architecture on the other. This would be ideal for weddings starting a little later because set up can only occur in the afternoon after 3pm which limits what you can do, unless you have a team of worker bees and then anything is possible. The other amazing plus side about getting married here is arriving by abra. Making an entrance by abra with the fountains just behind you is pretty special don’t you think? The minimum spend isn’t huge either so it’s definitely worth a visit, even if you have a small party of 20-40 guests.
