Good morning my beauties…
So, I’m very excited to say that I am featuring my first Dubai wedding. I promise I will have lots more to come, this is the first of many. I’d also like to say a big thank you to Clare at The Perfect Moment for sharing this with us. She helped plan the wedding for Gemma in Dubai and as you’ll see from the photos she did a pretty good job and Gemma looks stunning.
Gemma & Luke got married on the 18th December 2011. The ceremony was held at Christchurch in Jebel Ali followed by the reception at Shimmers (A very cool beach side restaurant) at Mina A’ Salam in Dubai.
The Proposal…. Very romantic at the intercontinental hotel…. That’s all I am saying… 🙂
My Vision for the day…. 1920’s vintage Hollywood with a winter wonderland theme.
Planning the big day… We knew what we wanted but needed the assistance of an expert to help put the dream become a reality… Clare was able to offer advice and planning assistance to ensure a perfect day!
Budget…. Too much!!
My Dress & Accessories….. I designed my dress, headpiece and accessories as I wanted something original. I instructed a wonderful dressmaker to bring my ideas to life.
Groom’s threads… Black tie.
Readings + Music…. At the church we had our favorite Christmas carols and a very upbeat Christian song that we both love. At the reception we instructed a Jazz band to play Rat pack songs aswell as an evening 5 piece band to dance the night away.
Beautiful bridesmaids….. Claire Hopkin and Lianne Nicholas. ♥
My Flowers… Cream tulips, roses and baby’s breath… The perfect combination!
My Cake… A huge 4 tier 3 flavored cake. It was nearly as big as me!!
Our Honeymoon…. We flew to Bali for 3 weeks of exploring and relaxation.
Memorable moments… Too many…. Walking down the isle and seeing my amazing husband to be’s face, the snow machine to a live set of ‘Let it snow”, arriving to the venue on the Dhow boat, the Shisha tent we set up on the beach……
