I’m pretty sure this is the most intimate wedding I’ve ever featured on MLW. A destination wedding for only 13 guests?! I’d say it’s utterly romantic… flying all the way from New York city to get married in Capri, Italy. It’s almost like a fairytale. Escaping the stress of arranging entrainment, creating a seating plan for 100 guests and swapping it for Italy… ahhh, it sounds blissful doesn’t it. While I love weddings, and everything that comes with planning a wedding, I do understand why some people prefer to trade it all in for a small intimate affair.
Scott and Elisa got married on July 9th 2014, and one of my favourite photograph duo’s ‘Women in Wedding‘ captured their special day on camera. This wedding is so beautiful, and I hope you love it as much as I do.
The choice of a unique, exclusive location as Capri is a choice of the style, colors, fragrances and tastes that this marvelous island offers.
The ceremony took place on the picturesque Terrace of the Giardini di Augusto, a charming site for an intimate and informal yet touching wedding.
We chose an unusual and amusing means of transport for the bride – a characteristic Ape car (electric vehicle used on Capri to transport goods and luggage) that we decorated for the occasion – for the bride to reach the famous “Piazzetta” and, after the ceremony, to take bride and groom to the famous “Ristorante da Paolino” known as the “lemon tree restaurant”.
A riot of fragrant flowers created a magical atmosphere – multi-hued pink peonies and roses, a silver candelabra centerpiece, the hand-painted ceramics recalling the local lemon trees that have made the restaurant gardens so renown and the many candles to light up the joyful happiness of this unique wedding.
After all, the groom’s one request left no doubts on the style he wanted:
“I want to make this wonderful since I have the best bride in the world”.
… as wonderful as it was for me to have the honor of fulfilling this couple’s wishes – thank you! – Wedding planner: www.elenarenzi.com
