A Picnic Styled Wedding @ Desert Palm

Desert Palm Resort & Spa is just about perfect for a relaxed daytime affair, and with it’s green surroundings it makes it seem like you are anywhere but in Dubai. There are not that many venues in Dubai where you can pull off a picnic style wedding. This gorgeous couple and I met last September, and after a chat, a coffee and a proposal later, I was signed up to help style their wedding. It was so exciting to get the chance to be creative. Humaya and Karim were such a cool couple, and their wedding guests had sooo much fun dancing to salsa dancers and sipping bubbly all afternoon. It was different, and just really lovely to see a daytime wedding. It sort of changed the whole vibe of the day.
Think picnic benches, sunflowers and red and white gingham… this wedding totally rocked!

And how cool are the potato sacks? We had them made just the wedding, and it was hilarious to see the guests jumping around and having a blast. Afternoon games were the perfect fit to this daytime wedding. They even had croquet 🙂
