Oh boy do I have a fabulous blog for you today! Captured at one of Dubai’s greenest wedding venues Desert Palm Dubai, this styled shoot was photographed by one of my favorite newbies to my blog; Jacqui at Nightscales Photography. The shoot was styled by a collective of talented individuals who all have a love for all things vintage. This shoot wasn’t just inspired by ‘vintage’ it was executed with some amazing vintage props from Set the Scene. Not only is the decor perfectly styled by Set the Scene for a vintage picnic but the fashion styling by Wear What Dubai is right on par with polka dots and high waisted hem lines using dresses from Vintage Alley’s and accessories from Audrey’s Cat. I’m a huge fan of polka dots so it immediately got the thumbs up from me. Claire’s gorgeous make up and hair was done by Dal from Dee & Dal. The beautiful flower arrangements were provided by The Flowerful Project. Andycup Cakes baked perfect vintage cupcakes and a 3 tier cake with hand painted flowers. The monocular and gramophone was from the Antique Museum, who sell a vast variety of competitively priced curios and souvenirs in Al Quoz.
Models Claire and Dean recently got married and thanks to FaceBook I was updated with daily pictures from their amazing Fiji wedding. Claire and I have met a few times and we have some mutual friends… so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they will allow me to feature their destination wedding later this year.
The shoot was organised by Bronwyn from Set the Scene and Jacqui at Nightscales Photography. Jacqui says… Bronwyn from Set the Scene has been the mastermind behind the concept and has been our production manager getting all of the vendors on board and organized. All the vendors were amazing and talented, and were available at short notice. A huge thank you to Ruth at Desert Palm who was so giving of her time before and during our shoot, and showing us around the venue.
A special thanks to the lovely couple from all the vendors… “To our wonderful couple who won the competition we ran, we were so grateful for your smiles and laughs on set! Thank you, thank you, thank you”.
Lovely Vendors…
