Morning lovelies,
Today I’m sharing the decor shots from one of my recent weddings at The Kempinski, Palm Jumeirah. Photographed by Women in Wedding, I made sure the girls took some extra detail shots for me… and for you lot. It seems so important to get the details because that’s what inspires the newly engaged brides-to-be reading my blog.
I met Cara and Ross via my lovely friend Kara, and as soon as she got engaged and started planning her wedding she called upon me for some styling assistance. Sarah from Couture Events was her official planner so that just left me to focus on the styling and decor on the day.
From day one Cara knew what she wanted. A lover of shabby chic home interiors and rustic style weddings, her vision was a ‘vintage inspired rustic wedding’ with lots of personal touches. She also got crafty and put her DIY skills to go use and made a the menus and seating plan.
The Decor…
They decided not to spend too much money on the ceremony. After all it was only going to be used for about 20 minutes, and then the guests would move to the garden reception for Pimms and Lemonade, and ice cold beers. The garden chairs were rented from Innovative hiring and made a refreshing change to the ever so popular ‘Tiffany Chair’. The arch was provide by myself which I decorated with the help from the guys at Firenze Flora.
The guests were entertained with a very cool live band and passed time by playing giant Jenga on the lawn. After the cocktail reception the guests moved upstairs to the penthouse suite on the 7th floor. Decorated with candles the venue was so simple and yet so pretty. The table linen was crisp white, which looked lovely against the bright colour garden flowers in the center of the tables.
After the dinner reception the guests moved inside and danced the night away. And just because the bride and groom love cheese they had a very stylish cheese cake which was one of the highlights of the day. Believe it or not the grooms Mum brought the cheese over all the way from Scotland.
