A few weeks back I had the pleasure of styling Jay and Adams wedding at Arabian Ranches Golf Club. Just after we set up we had splashes of rain, but that didn’t stop the lovely couple having the best day ever! Of course, I was slightly annoyed that linen got wet and things were absolutely perfect when guests arrive, but I’m not in charge of the weather, so I had to let that slide.
It was a quirky affair and it was so much fun putting together DIY creations on table tops. I melted wax, potted little plants and we recycled lots of old beer and wine bottles. I also managed to get a few maple syrup bottles too, just because I love the shape of the glass. It proves that you don’t have to spend a small fortune to have a pretty wedding and it’s so important to keep it personal. If you’re not into fancy flowers and extravagant centerpieces, then why have them at your wedding?
Below are a few setup images that Nabeela Huda took for me. (you’ll hear more about Nabeela on the blog soon) I’ll hope to share some of the wedding images really soon. Since it was a mix British, Philipino and Iranian wedding it had some very cool traditional elements thrown in, and the bridesmaids were all wearing bright coloured dresses which they picked themselves and Jay, our lovely bride wore a traditional Philipino wedding dress. It was awesome!
I should also give Arabian Ranches Golf Club a little shout out for helping set up and generally being a great venue to work with. Roll on more weddings!! If you’re on the hunt for an outdoor wedding venue in Dubai without a crazy high minimum spend, then they are worth a visit.
Until next time lovelies…
