On my last blog I talked about the importance of having an inspiration theme for your wedding, we focused on your makeup and hair being that inspiration. Today, thanks to our friends from Vanila Wedding Boutique we bring a styled photo shoot that was created just for you focusing on your wedding dress as the main theme. Well, who better than managing director Katerina Kazakova and her amazing team to choose the gorgeous, exclusive, jaw dropping bridal dress designs for each of our stunning models. Captured by talented photographer Ekaterina Ivankina, these images will sure make you want to, not walk, but run to Vanila Wedding Boutique to find the one for you. Oh! And not only do they have dresses but all the accessories, and I mean ALL (earrings, veils, gloves, hair accessories, etc, etc….) you need to make this day your dream come true.
We teamed up with Garden of Dreams floral company, who made dazzling bouquets, creative videographer Stephan, couture cake designer Ana from Nice Ribbon Atelier and 3 beautiful models Farida, Polina and Olya. And yes! Ana designed a cake, cupcakes and cookies based on each dress design, a true artist at its best!
The location was courtesy of Fairmont The Palm Hotel, we arrived in the morning and not only did public relations coordinator, Sumit Augustine, personally take us to the room and asked what we needed, but she and her team welcomed us with fruit, coffee, tea, cupcakes and cookies. OMG! amazing customer service and an elegant lovely venue for a wedding.
Five dresses were hand selected for this shoot, so I designed a makeup and hair look for each one. I love focusing on skin so that it looks amazing not only live, but also in pictures so that these become timeless. For Farida, who was wearing a glamorous Mermaid dress designed by Helen Miller, I decided to go for a “Hollywood” look, her hair was styled wavy with a side part and her spectacular skin color was highlighted with blue smoky eyes.
Polina wore two dresses, the first one, a spectacular Peony dress by Hellen Miller which paired perfectly with a high pony tail and a monochromatic pink bronzy makeup look. Ana’s cake was designed based on this dress and it is breathtaking. It’s incredible how adding a few details to a makeup look can completely change it, for the second classic long sleeve dress, also by the same designer, I added eyeliner, a pair of lashes and changed her hair to a classic side parted low bun.
Our Model Olya, also had two different looks for two different dresses. The first one, have to confess one of my favorites, a blush pink handmade design by Jesus Peiro. For this dress, I went for a gold smoky eye with a classic cat eyeliner, highlighted cheekbones and a dark berry lip color. For the hair we decided on an updo with braided details that fitted perfectly with the flower crown veil design. For our last but not least Lace dress, also by designer Helen Miller , Olya’s lips were changed to a more nude pink glossy color and her hair was changed into a messy low side bun, to top it all, Flower designers from Garden of Dreams made a fabulous flower crown that completed this look perfectly.
We want to thank everyone who made this photo shoot possible, especially Vanila Wedding Boutique for bringing us all together and photographer Ekaterina, who took amazing pictures not only of every detail but also of how much fun we had backstage.
Hope you love the images and the video teaser as much as we do and that this inspires you in the creation of your magical event.
