Today we wanted to revisit a lovely little Dubai venue we haven’t spoken about in a while – Dubai Marina Yacht Club. When I say little, I mean amazing with gorgeous views across the water and the feeling of being in your own little world in the heart of new Dubai. I have been to and organised several functions at the Yacht Club and have always been met with wonderful service and felt very well looked after and I know Joelle has felt the same when styling weddings at this venue. We thought this might be one you want to put on your list if you are in the process of finding your winter wedding venue in Dubai. In fact their Chart Lounge offering is even perfect for a smaller, indoor wedding if you are worried about the heat. Best for…smaller weddings – around 80 people (although the venue does have the capacity for up to 200). I don’t know how much venue hunting you might have had a chance to do in Dubai but it can be really tough to find an “intimate” venue where your neater guest list of 60 people don’t get drowned out by a big, grand ballroom. This is where Dubai Marina Yacht Club stands out. I went to a wedding here with only 30 people that was hosted on the deck facing the marina and it was just so lovely. Sorry, pun not intended.
A lovely reception venue for any occasion…This is also a fab venue if you have family and friends coming in from overseas for your wedding and want somewhere relaxing to host them for an event around the wedding week and not necessarily just on the day. I had a smaller wedding in Dubai with just family and a couple of friends so we chose to do a bigger post-wedding reception with afternoon drinks and canapés at the Yacht Club – we spent the afternoon watching the boats come in and sipping prosecco with our loved ones and it was just perfect. How much will it cost you? The venue is not ridiculously expensive with packages starting at AED 300 (this is for welcome juices and soft drinks and through the event only)
Can I host a blessing there as well as reception? Yes, the Yacht Club offers the Wedding Blessing package which includes a marina view blessing venue with set up included.
