Ah now this couple are blooming lovely. I was lucky enough to come on board and help Fiona with the decor and styling, and the talented Liz at JVR Photography was there to capture it all on camera. Fiona and James are a gorgeous couple, and are expecting a baby very soon. Big shout out to you guys!! I don’t know how times passes so quickly. This is another wedding that I styled last year and completely forgot to blog about. So just because I can I’m sharing this wedding with you today.
Fiona wore a simply stunning wedding dress from Amanda Wakeley, which she teamed with a pair of gold Jimmy Choo shoes. Her slim figure was perfect for the dress, and lets be honest… unless you have a figure like hers it’s hard to pull off something so perfectly tailored. 😉 I know I couldn’t do it.
The decor… In the morning we set up for the ceremony at the Magnolia courtyard. We used classic white Tiffany chairs and lined the aisle with fresh petals. The arch was really pretty. I used my own wood frame and draped it with fabric before Vintage Bloom decorated the corners and sides with fresh greens and white and pink flowers.
The evening reception decor was simple and elegant and we used fresh flowers and custom designed stationery to decorate the tables. My friend Mona created all of the stationery, which was great as graphic design is not my thing! I used my own pale pink show plates and white and gold lace lace overlays. The gold is very subtle which worked perfectly for this wedding. By adding the pink plates to the tables it really brought the whole setting together. We also added a little touch of gold in the candle holders, which made the candle light that little bit brighter when the sun went down. Remember folks, sometimes less is more! 😉
So who can we thank for making this wedding so lovely? The lovely vendors of course…
