Free To Be Me – A beauty shoot in Mexico!

At the beginning of summer I went to visit my family and blush beauty inc, my beauty salon in Mexico. Weeks before arriving I emailed very good friends of mine who are somehow related
to what I call The art industry and asked if they were interested in doing a campaign photo shoot for blush. I was so happy to hear they were all on board.  Amazing Photographer, Barbara Casso. Architect and interior designer David de la Garza, who let us borrow his beautiful home for our shoot. Mariana Pazos, in-house image consultant for blush and co-owner of Conde-Luz, online store.  Amalia Lopez, Mexican jewelry designer and owner of Malia Jewelry and last but certainly not least our beautiful models Melissa Aguilera and Estefy Domene.
I’ve always loved getting the message across of how important it is to be yourself, be confident and embrace your personality. This is what we wanted to inspire through our images. The campaign is called Free to be me. We mixed two different concepts to show how harmony and beauty can be found in everything. We called our mix Boho in the City. We divided the shoot in three sections: boho bride, boho beach and boho after sunset. Melissa, our bride for this shoot, wore two beautiful simple wedding dresses and then for the other photographs, both Melissa and Estefy wore everyday stylish outfits by Conde-Luz. What made these styles even more amazing was the stunning artistic combination of jewelry, the kind that we sometimes try at home but end up taking off because we think it’s too much, well I just learned it’s not about quantity but harmony and knowing when to stop. Amalia and Sara, who also works at Malia Jewelry are spectacular at doing this.

The day before the shoot my team at blush prepped the models with manicure and pedicure and Melissa’s hair was cut and colored. Next day we all met at the location, my mom designed the bride’s bouquet, and boy did she do a good job. I did both hair and makeup for the models at the shoot. I gradually changed the look going from a very simple makeup no makeup look to a night-out smoky-eye. We had an amazing time! I now leave you to enjoy the images, which speak for themselves.
Until next time Mexico…..

A little note from me…
Ummm how pretty are these Mexican beauties?! Love them!!! You got skills Monica!  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. My crazy week is coming to an end and I’m hoping to be back to regular blogging next week. I just didn’t expect September to be so busy. It’s amazing though and I really can’t complain because decorating events and making brides happy is what I like to do best.
Anyway, got to dash… 🙂
Lots of wedding love and hugs….
