Introducing Retha Virgin Photography ♥

Retha discovered My Lovely Wedding via Google, and got in touch with me by email. She told me she was a part time photographer, and when I saw her website and her portfolio of photos I was over the moon. Another talented photographer living in Dubai and yet to be discovered. I love it when this happens! I met Retha back in December and we chatted over Starbucks for nearly an hour. This South African beauty really does love her work, and if you scroll down you’ll see that she’s rather good at what she does!


Like many of the photographers I feature, Retha does not only shoot weddings, but also portraits, engagement shoots and children and family sessions too. But there is also one other thing she does that is really cool, and that’s ‘trash the dress’, for those of you who love your wedding dress so much and don’t fancy trashing it, then this is not for you. It’s such a fab idea to do a 2nd photo shoot and be creative, have fun and literally trash your wedding dress. I mean, will you ever wear it again? I would love to trash my wedding dress, maybe not trash it so its unwearable, but I’d be up for jumping in the sea and be a bit creative. Plus you get to wear your wedding dress AGAIN!  The last picture is actually my favorite out of all of them… it’s so stunning, and as you may know I’m a big fan of B&W photos.
