Introducing The Ritz Carlton Grand Canal, Abu Dhabi (A very lovely wedding venue)

Last  month I vowed to you all to venture out of Dubai and explore Abu Dhabi. Well, I kept to my word and spent 24 hours in the capital. I had the pleasure of staying at The Ritz Carlton, Grand Canal Abu Dhabi.
Back in May 2013 I featured a wedding by Dubai wedding photographer ‘Blue Eye Picture‘ and it wasn’t until I arrived that I had that weird feeling of ‘Hmm I recognise this, but I’m not sure why.’ Then half way through my lunch meeting with Ahmed, the fabulous wedding planner and his PR side kick Valerie, it all came together and I realised I had featured the hotel. I have no idea why I waited this long to visit myself. (I think it’s because I’m a tad lazy and don’t often drive to Abu Dhabi?)

Anyway… Located only a hop skip and jump away from the beautiful Grand Mosque, this hotel has some fabulous views. On one side you have a view of the grounds, the pool and a small, yet very pretty beach. And on the other you have a view of the Grand Mosque. Need I say anymore?

The venue offers three outdoor areas including the Olive Garden, the Pool Garden and the Grand Lawn. My personal favourite is the Olive Garden because it’s so pretty, and naturally romantic. The largest venue is the Roma ballroom, which can be separated into 3 areas depending on the size of your wedding. The ballroom has it’s own entrance and a grand staircase that will take your breath away, pure luxury!

The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal wedding planners are professional in every sense of the word.
