Introducing… The Studio Dubai ♥

Another fab discovery for me… The Studio Dubai. Who would of thought that this city has so much talent? Ahh, I just love it. The Studio Dubai is located in the heart of the Al Quoz art’s community and just a few steps away from the Lime Tree cafe and home to the Ripe Organic market every Saturday. Totally love Ripe by the way!  If you have a spare 10 minutes I suggest checking out their website, oh and if you do this before lunch time I suggest you avoid the ‘Food’ page because it will make you hungry. I don’t know why but I actually love photographs of food. I also have a secret obsession with food styling. Anyway… The Studio team is made up of a bunch of talented photographers and videographers, along with a very lovely office manager Georgie, who I met yesterday. I also met Louise, who is their wedding photographer. An absolute sweetheart and obviously very passionate about her job.

I asked the lovely Louise a few questions, and this is what she said…
Where are you from?
I’m originally from Wales, UK, but lived in Brighton and London a long time before coming to Dubai.
How long have you lived in Dubai?
I’ve been in Dubai since 2007, love it, bought a house and don’t want to go back to London – too cold and wet!
How long have you been a photographer?
I’ve been a photographer for about 4 years now, originally trained as a graphic designer, worked in London in high street fashion and then publishing producing award winning children’s photographic book as a designer and art director.
Why do you love your job?
I have the dream job, I always wanted to get into photography but was always persuaded not to as it wouldn’t make any money and its too expensive for all the gear…which by the way it is!
I had worked with photographers for years back in London and after I had my children I said ‘right that’s it I’m going to do it!’ and I finally did!
Who inspires you?
That’s a difficult one, I guess I don’t really have many heroes of the photography world, I’m a big fan of Karan Kapoor at the moment as a lifestyle photographer. As far as weddings I love what Simon Charlton does, he is amazing.
Now for the photos…
