Yasmine & Tariq celebrated their engagement with a big party at one of my favorite Dubai venues… The Address Montgomerie. Last December Yasmine, event guru/ co-owner of Dot the i’s helped this lovely couple celebrate in style with 260 guests.
The Planning process…
With the help of Dot the I’s everything seemed easy and flexible. Yasmine (Planner) worked very hard to make everything perfected. Yasmine (Fiancée) is so much into details and wanted the guests to look right left and center to some pieces of art. The possibilies are limited when talking to dot the I’s events.
The dresses… (because she feel in love with both)
Yasmine changed into 2 dresses. The red was bought from Designers club at Wafi, whereas the blue dress is a Monique lhullier dress from Bosheya in Abudhabi.
What the groom-to-be wore…
Tariq wore a dark brown chocolate suit from Sacoor Brothers
The Flowers…
Combination of Flowers accented the engagement day. Flowers used were pink and white roses, apple green and white hydrangeas, green trachelium, pink tulips, white and pink spray roses, baby breath, pink mathiola, pink eustoma and moss.
Cake in a jar… just to say thank you!
Favor Jars from Rice Creamery from City Walk, and customized by the bride-to-be.
The Details + Décor….
The theme was named: “It all began in a garden”, as it was a pretty garden theme. The Address Montgomeire venue is a beautiful one that could match any theme applied to it. Yasmine is a big fan of vintage, garden and colorful flowers, so the theme reflected exactly what she ever wanted for her dream engagement.
Centerpieces were a mixture of vintage boxes filled with colorful flowers and variety of maison jars on round tables. The diversity of flower colors and types used were outstanding. Some vintage pieces were added to the table to make them go back in time.
Chalk tags where used to number each and every table.
Pretty lace linens and beautiful white chairs added an amazing touch to the tables.
Old French vintage tins was used to accessorize the cocktail tables an lounges, they looked super funky.
The big garden area was decorated with big Whitish silver lite balls that acted as warm twinkle lights throughout the night
Yasmine and Tariq were seated in a White Pergola customized just for them using crystal chandeliers and dreamy white chiffon curtains.
2 types of favors were given out on the day, the edible ones were Favor Jars from Rice Creamery customized by Yasmine (Fiancée) located at City Walk and Dancing slippers for the tired feet.
The dancing slippers were decorated in such a cute way using loads of flowers and a pink bicycle that matched the theme.
Nevertheless, we can never miss to mention the adorable wooden customized signs for the night. They were colored in pink, brown and beige to match the overall theme
Memorable moments…
Anxiously waiting in our rooms for the night to begin. Our excitement to see everything and everyone just waiting for our arrival as we were for sure surrounded by beautiful, close people to our hearts that made this night the most special and memorable night.
We have never ever danced so much, was a good exercise (kidding!!) but it was an awesome one, a night to remember for real !!
Advice for other couples…
Planning and going thru the experience of planning your engagement is a good exercise for the big day soon to come.
Don’t use all the ideas and tricks at your engagement party, save the special new ideas for your big day.
