Rami and Liyan got married on the 19th December 2013. This story is a little different from my usual, as I am friends with the groom, and now his lovely wife. I first met Liyan, and her sister Arwa last September. With Liyan working a stressful job, it was up to Arwa take control and plan her sister… the wedding of her dreams. I acted as a wedding consultant, and advised on vendors, and decoration. It was really interesting getting to know the in’s and out of an Arabic wedding… and after so many weeks of planning, I discovered a new found respect for wedding planners. It really is a full time job!
Liyan looked stunning in her wedding dress, which she found pretty early on at Pronovias in Dubai Mall. I think most brides search for their wedding dress first… it’s a bridal instinct. After Liyan found her dress, everything else fell into place and her wedding theme was decided. Rich gold teamed with blush pink… traditional and glamorous with a few modern twists. (The modern twist being the very awesome tipi)
The tipi was probably my favorite part of the wedding, and as the sun went down, the fairy lights lit up and the oval garden lawn looked magical. The tipi’s looked so pretty against the stylish gold and white furniture. *If you’re looking for stylish lounge seating then Furniture Rentals is a must.. the quality is perfect and they were just generally fabulous.
I would like to give a big shout out to all the lovely vendors who made this wedding possible…
