A few months back I teamed up with a few of the most lovely vendors in town to create a pretty, and inspiring styled shoot. Featuring dark purple tones, emerald green satin napkins and variety of loose garden style blooms. I had a vision of soft sunlight and a natural green backdrop. I didn’t want anything too fussy or put together for the table, and I wanted the bride to be a ‘real bride’. When I started thinking about the shoot I only had one bride in mind, and that was Sophia. She’s a real bride-to-be and also a model (How lucky did I get?!) I loved her soft pretty features, and dark brunet hair… and I knew she would bring my vision to life with the help of Dubai based makeup artist Monica Hernandez.
Jenny wore a simple, yet elegant lavender bridesmaid dress made by Anne Rashid, owner of The Bridal Room in Jumeirah. Anne also provided us with the very pretty wedding dress too. Using hay bails and a rustic wood table top I created a low level table which became the backdrop for the models. Vintage Bloom designed a stunning arrangement of flowers which brought the table to life. By the way, the flower girl is Nahla and she’s Sophia’s three year old niece. She is literally the most adorable little flower girl I’ve ever seen in my life. Scroll down for the pictures and you will know exactly what I mean….
The stunning two tiered naked cake was made by Little Miss Cupcakes, and the stationery was custom designed by Love Notes in Dubai. Styled shoots are a fabulous way to showcase local vendors, and also inspire brides-to-be in the UAE. My aim is to always create something lovely that is not impossible to create for your own wedding. Adding a touch of moss to a dining table can instantly add a more ‘rustic’ feel to the day. Using loose flowers can cost a little less and also look less informal too. If you’re not a fan of bold colours taking over your wedding day, I suggest adding a touch to your napkins or place cards. The little extras can go a long way. 🙂
