Hello Lovelies,
I’m posting this blog from the airport and will soon be on my way to the big apple. NYC baby! We are heading to Canada to spend Christmas with Nathans family, and making a quick stop through NYC for a few days of New York fun. It’s going to be so Christmassy!! (Can you tell I’m excited?) Marry-me hair – Inspirational ideas by Monica.

If you are a bride to be, I know you’ve been looking for the perfect hair style for your wedding day. I always have a talk with the beautiful brides I do hair and makeup on and let them know how important it is that the look they choose is part of who they are. It should express your personality and you should feel glamorous and comfortable at the same time. It has to be the perfect balance, what I call…. a perfectly imperfect look.
There are of course different trends throughout the seasons and years, but you should always pick the one that best describes and suits you, a look that you will still love when you look at your pictures, 30, 40 or 50 years after your wedding.
I have divided this season’s trends in 4 categories and will later tell you how you can match your makeup to the hairstyle you choose.
Romantic…
This hair trend revolves around wavy up-dos, sleek low pony tails and beautiful classic hair twists. It’s important to mention that extreme side parts make a huge comeback and can be applied to most of the looks.

Vintage…
Sleek meets curly. This look is a mixture of sleek roots and wavy messy mids to ends hair. It’s perfect for that amazing hair accessory you’ve been dreaming about, FYI my favorite is Jennifer Behr.

Boho-chic…
All kinds of Braids and messy beach waves are the highlights of this category.

Rock-glam…
Think 60’s mod, voluminous updos, buns and hair knots with middle parts are a must for this look.
