If you follow me on social media you may have seen the odd post about moving house. Well, after 4 years living in the Marina we have packed our bags and boxes and moved to Satwa. My friend Amy said she wasn’t surprised, because moving to Satwa sounds kinda hipster, and I like that idea. When I say Satwa, I actually mean a 5-10 minutes walk to Jumeirah mosque and Lime Tree Cafe on Jumeirah Beach Road. I had no idea how close we are to everything on this side of town, it’s brilliant. We moved for several reasons but mainly because we wanted a garden for our doggies. I also needed more space and storage for my inventory and wedding props for Lovely Styling. We now live in a brand new villa, that’s only a few minutes walk to the tailors, a carpenters and about four garden shops. It’s all very exciting. While I was wondering around the local area I noticed a rather large supermarket with a variety of interesting foods I can explore. My Mum would love it, (she has a thing for supermarkets abroad because they are so different to the ones back in England) It’s kinda weird but I get it.
Apparently the new compound where we are living hasn’t been connected to Etisalat yet, and it may take up to a month to connect – yes, I nearly cried – so you’ll have to bare with me if I miss the odd blog here and there. I’ve currently run out of credit on my internet usb thingy so I’m using this time to prep blogs and organise my office. I don’t know about you but I actually like being offline. Being constantly on the internet is draining at times. Anyway, hopefully in the next few weeks I’ll be organised, prepared and ready to kick some butt in 2015, all the way from Satwa.
I’ll be doing my research around the area to bring you a full report of lots undiscovered crafty shops. I may also include directions and a map. 😉
Back soon my lovelies…
