Last week I spent my Tuesday afternoon at the Sofitel, on The Palm. Yes, I know…. hard day at the office. I was expecting the usual 5* quality, so I swapped my converse for my brogues and applied my usual heavy black eye liner before I arrived. It wasn’t until I rocked up to the entrance and valet parked my car that I realised how lovely this new hotel really is. That reminds me, I must contact the events team there.
The SO SPA was incredible. I felt like I had left Dubai, and landed in Bali. The spa was down to earth, and had a very organic feel to it. I think it was the green plants on the walls that made it feel so natural.
I was greeted with wide smiles, and after a tour of SO SPA I was taken to my treatment room for a 60minute facial. My pampering afternoon was much needed after a busy few weeks. It was bliss. The spa was incredible, and if I didn’t have a wash and blow dry in Raffiné after, I probably would of stayed another 4 hours.
Raffiné Beauty Salon is a very stylish hair salon, just a few meters away from the spa. As you can see from the pictures, it really is very stylish. After a quick wash and blow dry, I had my makeup applied by their resident makeup artist. To be honest, I’m not a fan of eye shadow but she insisted on using it. I took a selfie, which actually turned out alright… but for me personally I just don’t like being too ‘over done’. I don’t feel like me. However, it did make a lovely change from my usual smudged black eye liner. For most girlie girls I’m sure they would love the experience. If you’re you’re using Instagram you can check out my selfie there… @mylovelywedding
I would really recommend The Sofitel Spa if you’re a busy bride in need of a little pampering. After a few hours you’ll leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready to face the fast pace city, we know and love.
For bookings please call 04 455 6636. I’m sure all you lovely brides-to-be will love the services at Raffiné.
