My beautiful bride Sophia…

It brings me great pleasure to share these images with you today. Sophia came to me over a year ago and I styled her wedding on the 8th November. Along the way Sophia and I came friends, which for me is the best bit about my job. I make friends, and make people happy. (by styling and decorating the most important day of their life… it’s kinda cool right?!) Anyway, two days prior to the big day Sophia and her now husband Mark got legally married at Christ Church Jebel Ali, and my good friends Maria and Monica were there with her.
Maria captured the hours before she walked down the aisle, while Monica prepared Sophia’s hair and makeup. Below Monica explains how she helped Sophia get ready for her legal wedding ceremony in Dubai.

You may think having a small wedding is a synonym for doing your own hair and makeup and having a family member take your photographs, but actually these are two very important things you should consider investing on. The pictures will last forever and the hair and makeup will reflect your beauty and make you feel stunning on the most important day of your life.
I get so inspired when I see a bride on her wedding day; they just have that glow you can see from a distance.
Maria Sundin, professional photographer, and I arrived at Sophia’s house around 12:30. The first thing we did was search for the perfect light for both makeup and photography. Maria suggested just by the bedroom window, which turned out perfectly.
It’s so amazing to have a professional photographer taking pictures of every detail, and for a makeup artist it’s such good support cause you get to see you work on camera and correct anything that the naked eye could have missed.
Sophia, our beautiful bride featured today, and I decided to go with a classic red carpet look. For the makeup; flawless skin, shimmery eyeshadow, eyeliner with a flick and nude lips.
As for the hair, retro curls were the perfect match. I personalized the look by detailing the front of the hair so she wouldn’t have to worry about having the hair in her face during the ceremony.
