My best friends wedding…

Last month my best friend Amy got engaged, which was the best news ever! I was expecting it to be within this year, because Amy and her lovely fiance Pat, have been together a while and just moved to India together. {Moving to a new country is a big commitment in its self} We didn’t know when he was going to pop the question, but I knew it would be soon, and I couldn’t be happier for them both.

It was always my long term plan to find someone to join MLW and blog about their experience as a bride-to-be, so when Amy got engaged I knew it would be her. She’s one of my best friends, so it makes sense right?! Amy is from Aberdeen, but lived in Dubai for most of her school life. Her family live here, so it’s very much like home. She now lives in India and will be getting married in Jersey, USA. {Her groom is American.. just FYI} I’m so excited for Amy to share her story on MLW, because she’s a very talented writer {much better than me} and her wedding planning journey is going to be rather interesting. Planning from India, for a wedding in the USA, and organising a guest list that’s scattered all over the globe! Sounds like a mission if you ask me lol! 

So in honor of Amy coming on board this week, I put together some inspiration just for her. It’s a mix of boho inspired dresses, with simple table setting and rustic touches. I have a feeling she will love it…

Bridesmaids wearing cow boy boots? I’m so sure her sisters would love the idea,  but they would make some awesome photos! You really can’t get any more American than that 😉

I also love the country shaped cake toppers. It adds a personal touch, and looks cute too. I’m going to hunt these down get back to you. My first guess who be Etsy?!
   
Simple flowers, wooden tables and surrounded by candles… Awhh it sounds so romantic doesn’t it. I really can’t think of anything better for an outdoor country wedding. I know Amy doesn’t want anything too glam, so this might just be the perfect setting.  I also know that a ‘Pie bar’ has made it to the wedding wish list already….  So American, and oh so delicious!
