Good afternoon from sunny Somerset!
I must say it’s a rather lovely day today, the sun is shining and the sky is a bright shade of blue just like it was yestrday. I must thank the weather man for giving me the perfect weather for my garden hen party. 🙂
I spent yesterday morning decorating the garden with my pom poms and bunting. I had 25 meters of white fabric bunting which I bought on amazon a while ago. I didn’t think i’d use all of it, but I did and it really made a difference. It wasn’t as easy as I thought and after fighting with branches and getting my hair stuck in a tree I managed to pull it together. I think they looked lovely around the garden. I also found an old white table cloth which we used to over the picnic bench, it had a few stains on it but I covered them with my vases of pink roses. In the end we didn’t use my mums teepee but we did use a canape tent which worked just as well, if not better.
The party started around 3pm with pimms and lemonade, our very tradional English cocktail, followed by lots of delcious wine later on. My mum kindly made most of the food…scones and cupcakes for afternoon tea and home made salads, baked potatoes and pizza for dinner. It was all rather yummy. We figured carbs would be a good choice when consuming lots of pimms… and wine. 😉
Don’t you think these pink cups and straws are just so cute… LOVE!
Overall we had had a wonderful day, for me the best bit was catching up with old friends and filling them in with my wedding plans. I really can’t wait to see them in Dubai! Thanks girls for making my hen party so special… you guys are the best! xxx
