It’s been a while since I blogged about the UAE’s most fabulous online wedding registry; MyList.ae. My friend Julie (founder and owner) recently had a baby girl, she’s now a mum of three. It boggles my mind how she manages her time… running a successful business, looking after three kids and taking the time to create wedding workshops for brides in Dubai. Like she doesn’t have enough to do? I was recently thinking about her mounting work load and it occurred to me that she really doesn’t need to go the extra mile. She could easily run a online wedding registry without making herself none to brides, without putting in the extra time to make it personal and fun. But then again, this is what makes MyList.ae unique. They are one of a kind and in my opinion no other wedding registry can compete.
Last week MyList.ae and The White Company collaborated and hosted a beautiful event at MOE. Wedding pros such as Sarah Feyling attended and dished out tips for planning your wedding. (Full feature coming on Sarah tomorrow) I must admit that I was really disappointed that I couldn’t attend but being a wedding styling keeps me busier than ever. 🙂
The wedding workshops are designed to help brides plan their weddings, and with the help of local vendors, such as dress designers, photographers and event planners, MyList.ae and her creative friends make this planning stuff that much easier. Less stress… more fun?!
I got married nearly two years ago and back then MyList.ae had less than half the partner stores listed now. It’s really exciting to see an industry colleague grow and achieve so much in only two years. Registering is free and you can make your very own gift list by choosing amazing products for the home, for yourself and even for your honeymoon. I personally stocked up on Le Creuset and several Kitchen aid appliances from Tavola… because really, who wants to spend AED 1000 on a pan? I guess if you’re a foodie and you’re loaded then it might not be a big deal, but for me buying fancy pots was kinda a big deal. (So very grown up don’t you think?)
Anyway, before I ramble on too much I suggest you head over to MyList.ae and sign up… it’s free and easy to use. Go on… you know you want to.
