I’ve been very excited to share this wedding with you all week, why? Because it’s so classic, so elegant and so lovely, plus I’ve known about this wedding since the day I met Asha.
I met Asha 2 weeks before her wedding day. While I sat with her in Marina Mall discussing my own wedding plans (She’s a wedding planner at Olivier Dolz) I gazed down to see a big shiny ring on her finger which then lead us into her own wedding details. We had a similar interest for vintage and lace and of course weddings in general. I can honestly say I have no worries in the world about my own wedding being perfect… as you can see from her’s (scroll down) it’s absolutely gorgeous.
Asha & Ross got married on the 24th March 2012 at The Rickety Bridge Winery, Franschoek, South Africa. ♥
The Proposal… I came home to ‘I wondered if you’d marry me….?’
The Vision for the day… Lace and Pearls/ a vintage feel
The Planning process… Planning from Dubai was a challenge but a 2 year engagement allowed me to be fully organized to find the best suppliers/venue to work with
Finding My Wedding Dress…The dress was from the Lake District in the UK and thankfully flown over to Dubai with my friend Faeye…
My Lovely Accessories… A beautiful pearl Necklace I’d had as a birthday gift the month before, pearl earrings from my fiancée, a lace Umbrella from Brolliegallore.co.uk, silk gloves from netaporter.com, Lanvin Marry me perfume and my Manolo Blahnik Shoes…
Favorite moments… Hearing my favorite poem read by Gill Kenny Seeing everybody that are special to us in one place, as a destination wedding enjoying the whole week before and after as a holiday with family and friends was fabulous 🙂
Credit for friends, family & suppliers…
