Part two – Styled Tipi Shoot @ Al Badia

Afternoon lovelies…
This is part two of the styled shoot I organised with my lovely vendors back in July. This has to be my favorite theme because the whole set up was a DIY effort. I recycled tin cans and covered them with burlap fabric and filled them with lavender. They looked so pretty and only cost about AED 15 per arrangement. (It’s the lavender that was my biggest cost.. but totally worth it because you can keep it for months)
I wanted to demonstrate that you can create a pretty set up with a limited budget. The Tipi is of course the star of the show, but with a little bit of imagination and creativity you can easily create something like this…

I picked up some floral print cotton fabric in Satwa and made them into napkins.  I also got the burlap fabric in Satwa for AED 10 a meter and cut out table runners. IMG_1059 IMG_1064
I created this cheap and cheerful bunting using string and doilies… so simple, yet so cute.IMG_1065
Natalie at Elizabeth Andres  printed the menu’s, table numbers and place cards on recycled card and added a doily trim for extra detail. IMG_1100 IMG_1124 IMG_1234 IMG_1388 IMG_1391
The fireplace is from Canvas and Wood . Just as it was getting dark after our shoot the fireplace looked amazing. I want one!
