Pinterest Inspiration for a Summer Wedding – Al Fresco Style!

With summer now in full swing, it got me thinking about clear blue skies and long sunny days. I’m writing this in England, and usually at this time (7.15pm) it would be almost dark in Dubai, however right now the sun shining and it seems like the perfect setting for an ‘Al Fresco Summer Wedding’. While wondering around my Mums garden surrounded by home grown flowers and organic salad plots it inspired me to put together this collection of stylish ideas for a summer wedding. It was also an excuse to spend two hours browsing Pinterest 😉
Add colour with citrus fruits. 
There is noting I love more than decorating my dining table with fruits and greens. Of course I love flowers but now and again it makes a lovely change. It’s also budget friendly and edible too!

Keep your budget down by using potted plants
Potted plants make beautiful centrepieces, especially on long rectangle tables. If you’re going to use plants at your wedding I suggest mixing heights and using a variety of plants. The different textures and green tones will make for an interesting and pretty set up.

Use sharing platters as part of your table decor
If you’re going ‘Al Fresco’ with your summer wedding then why not include your food as part of your table decor. The textures and colours of the food will not only be exciting for the guests but they look pretty too… and obviously next to a cluster of oranges or a potted plant 🙂

Keep the classic white table cloth
If you don’t have the option of a rustic old farm style table or a worn out old picnic bench then I suggest you stick to the classic white table cloth. Why? well, because it’s classic and elegant.
