It’s been a while since I blogged a wedding I styled at Magnolia, Al Qasr. Last year I had so many weddings there and this year I’ve been spreading the love around other venues. Luckily I just booked a wedding for November at Al Qasr, so I know I’ll be back there again soon 🙂
Kara and I had the pleasure of planning and styling Sayda + Omars two day wedding back in December. (I’ll blog about the traditional Sudanese Jertig wedding soon) The first wedding at Magnolia was a more traditional western style wedding with pretty table décor, string lighting and a band that entertained guests all night long. We kept the theme elegant and used all rectangle tables since they had 180 guests attend, which is pretty big for the venue so we had to be creative with our floor plan. Usually, I style weddings with 100-120 guests and that seems to fit perfectly using round tables. BUT I seriously love the rectangle tables and long wide space in the middle which became a dancefloor. Sayda loved pastel peach tones and gold, so we went for a mix of peach florals and greenery teamed with light linen and vintage Tiffany chairs and gold touches. It was really pretty, and as the sun went down and the candles lit up it became even more romantic.
We haven’t had the couple images back yet but here are a few décor shots…
If you’re getting married at Magnolia, Al Qasr… then perhaps the rectangle tables would be an option for you? You could also mix and match with round and it would look equally lovely. Thanks to all my lovely vendors who helped me put this wedding together. I love you dream team!
