I’ve got to be honest with you, when I first got engaged and started planning my wedding I really wasn’t bothered about a wedding cake. So often it’s sort of forgotten at the end of the night and after everyone has had dinner and dessert, it doesn’t seem so appealing. But, between me & my lovely family we figured out a way to have a wedding cake and also make sure people actually enjoy it. Afternoon tea!!! I’m so excited for this, because the lighting and the atmosphere is going to be so romantic. I went down to my venue (The Montgomerie) last week at around 4pm and the sun was perfect, the temperature was lovely and I got butterflies thinking about the wedding followed by the afternoon tea.
So, now we need is to finalise the design of the cake and we are all set. I’ll fill you in one the full menu very soon. But for now.. here’s my inspiration for my wedding cake. It’s all very girly and pretty, I’m sure Nathan won’t mind 😉
