Back in May this year I team up with some of the My Lovely Wedding Vendors for a styled photo shoot. Why the delay in sharing the love? Well, since the wedding season was coming to an end in Dubai, and the hot weather was kicking in I decided to wait until the new season starts. I feel like this week is a good week to share the wedding love.
Canvas and Wood set up four large Tipi’s on Al Badia’s green lawn, and I was able to do what I like with each. I decided to create four different looks, one theme for each Tipi. This was my first theme, and probably the loveliest of all.
My aim was to create a pretty setting with rose printed bunting, fresh blooms and a touch of vintage inspired decor. I used white lace overlays to add a soft touch to the brown wood picnic tables. I decorated the tip with a mixture of rose printed bunting and hanging flowers. Vintage Bloom used a variety of glasses bottles and vases to create a whimsical floral setting. It was just lovely.
The bunting was stitched at Montexa Tailors in Satwa. I found a selection of rose printed fabric in Satwa, which didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. If you’ve been looking for bunting in Dubai, you will know that it can be a little pricey. Having you’re own made will not only give you the option of selecting the perfect print, but it will save you some pennies too.
For the favors I bought small jars and filled them with little marshmallows. You can see my DIY blog *super cute DIY marshmallow jars* here.
Beautiful flowers from Vintage Bloom…
Natalie at Elizabeth Andres designed the stationery and she created menu’s and place cards for every table. Natalie’s designs were soft, feminine with a touch of pink and went perfectly with the theme of the shoot.
The food was provided by the head Chef at Al Badia. I wanted to include food in the shoot because I think your food, and choice of menu should reflect who you are as a bride and groom.
It’s true what they say… you eat with your eyes first and luckily for us, the head Chef at Al Badia did an amazing job…
