We're back! A family holiday and a very Scottish wedding…

Hello lovelies!
I missed you! So you’re probably wondering where on earth we’ve been? So sorry for the radio silence and to leave you hanging there…I’ve been back in Scotland for a week visiting family and wait for it…attending a wedding! I really thought I was going to have more time to blog during my time there but the festivities kind of took over. So my bad! I have to say it was super special to have some family time back in my homeland – sometimes even I forget that I’m Scottish after 15 years of being an expat! I forgot how beautiful Scotland is. We also worked out it’s the first time in five years that myself, my sisters and my cousins have all been back in Scotland together which was kind of amazing – made even more special by lots of cuddles and playtime with my nephews and my niece. It was a little chilly (especially compared to the 40 degree temps I left in Bangalore) so it was rather nice to wrap up warm and bust out the old jumpers and coats for a change 🙂


The reason for my trip was my cousin’s wedding and it was fabulous. It was held in a very traditional old Scottish house just outside of Glasgow and it had all the makings of a classic Scottish wedding – kilts, bagpipes and a ceilidh dance, oh I loved it. Also – check out my godson in his wee kilt, too cute! My cousin Jillian looked AMAZING and her new husband is just lovely, I know they are going to be so so happy together. She had a beautiful yellow colour theme that really created a touch of summer (which is sometimes hard to do in Scotland!) and the whole day just went off so smoothly. It was actually so sweet because she said to me “you know how sometimes when you spend so long planning something that you don’t know if expectation can live up to reality? Well it was so was so much better than I possibly could have imagined!”  – awwwww! I love seeing a happy bridey. I have a tiny little sneak peek for you lovely people right here but you’ll have to stay tuned for the full wedding feature soon 🙂



So that’s what I’ve been up to! We’ll be back to regularly scheduled programming next week and we have lots of wedding loveliness in store that we can’t wait to share with you!
